Meet The Yeasties: Alexa

Goofy but her stance is regular, Alexa grew up body surfing and boogie boarding in the Atlantic Ocean. During her summer of fun-employment between college and starting her "career" in the apparel industry Alexa taught herself how to surf. She learned an important lesson that summer, always cover your face when breaching the surface of the water!

After shattering her nasal cavity, she decided she was committed to gliding on water and invested in 5mm winter gear. Last year she moved to Rockaway so she could surf regularly. Alexa can be seen on her longboard cruising down the line with the grace of an inflatable tube man or floating far outside on a shortboard being high selective about which wave to go for. She is working towards being proficient enough to rip it during hurricane season and will continue to cackle loudly everytime she falls.
